I decided to draw an initial sketch of one of the insects, and I need to tweak it a bit but in general what do you guys think of it? This one was the mantis type
I love the frills on its head! I think the prominent front legs give it a more threatening "monster" feel too. What are the pointy things on its back? Are they some kind of vestigial wings?
